Exploring the Dynamism of Human Movement: An introduction into the Laban/Bartenieff Movement System (LBMS) exploring its capacity to unpack the complex patterns of human movement
January 8, 2022 - January 16, 2022
Participants will be introduced to how LBMS offers:
- a comprehensive practice for ongoing development of the body/mind
- a language of movement and taxonomy for describing action
- a tool for movement analysis in multiple applications including all forms of dance
The workshop is also valuable for those seeking to update their knowledge of developments and expansion in the theories and practices of LBMS (LMA/BF)
The workshop will include an overview of LBMS connecting and integrating our abilities of sensing, feeling, and intuiting to our analytical thinking process in relation to the experience of action.
