SUMMARY:Intro to the Laban/Bartenieff Movement System (MD)
DESCRIPTION:Intro to The Laban/Bartenieff Movement System for Somatic Therapists & Practitioners with Laura Cox & Karen Studd\nPOSTPONED DUE TO COVID-19\nPlease check back for new date and location! \nFor those engaged in somatic practices – learn how the Laban/Bartenieff Movement System (LBMS) can enhance your own experience and support your practice. \nLBMS is a comprehensive system used in understanding multiple aspects of human movement patterns. Using the LBMS framework\, this workshop will focus on awareness of movement in the context of somatic practice\, education and therapy. While all somatic practices value self-awareness as a key to living a rich and healthy life\, a benefit of LBMS as a somatic practice lies in the consideration of the space through which we move in daily life as a vital aspect of how we interact\, function and express ourselves in the world. \nWorkshop participants will gain an increased awareness of their own individual movement patterns and preferences through experience with basic Bartenieff Fundamentals sequences to reveal\, repattern and enhance movement function and expression. \nREGISTRATION:\nRegister by March 28th and pay ONLY $85\nRegister between March 29th and April 17th and pay $100\nOn-site Registration: $115
