Learn to understand your native language: Movement!
We all grow up “reading” and “speaking” movement unconsciously. Become aware of the underlying structure and components that make our moving experience meaningful. Learn how we use our bodies to function, communicate and relate to others and to our environment.
This workshop will provide a basic introduction to The Laban/Bartenieff Movement System (LBMS); we’ll look at overarching patterns and themes of human movement and explore the anatomical basis, emotional expression and spatial organization that gives movement meaning.
